He is best known as the creator of Gestoos, an award-winning AI startup that introduced behavior-aware computer vision to the world. Under his leadership, Gestoos developed proprietary systems capable of interpreting human actions in real time with millimetric precision. Prioritizing privacy and ethical design, the company attracted global attention and was acquired by Preact Technologies, confirming Germán’s reputation as a trailblazer in ambient computing.
Earlier in his career, Germán helped reshape the mobile internet strategy at Vodafone Group, and served as Managing Director at Oblong Europe, where he brought immersive, gesture-based computing, like the tech seen in Minority Report, into enterprise environments.
He holds a Master’s in Interaction Design from Umeå University, and deepened his AI design expertise at MIT.
